Returning to the Forest

Fully-developed awareness is every human's birthright. As we "re-enter" the wild areas, we reestablish our "invisible cord" to the natural world, and we expand our awareness zones outward, calibrating our inner selves with our outer worlds, revealing secrets long hidden in the depths of disconnection, and in the process increasing personal and planetary well-being. This is my journey of learning what it means to be truly native: dwelling within the consciousness of Nature. Indigenous peoples possess an intimate knowledge of the natural world, never perceiving themselves as separate from the Earth; they know that they belong to the Earth, and contained within this knowledge is an unshakable sense of security. Our ancestral skills are the doorway to the wild places within ourselves.

SCATH BUSHCRAFT offers a "therapeutic navigation" for re-awakening the wild within...
Primitive skills are a gateway, a shift in philosophy, a "returning to the forest" - where one can feel oneself flowing through the stages of connection-expansion with Nature.  This "ecotherapy" improves balance, harmony, and emotional well-being, fosters inter-species communication, as well as restores interpersonal relationships and a sense of community. Cultivating instinct, reverence, and gratitude, this "EDGE-work" is based on holistic, experiential, sensory-based learning practices, forever reaching from our ancestral past into the future.
