SCATH BUSHCRAFT - School Introduction

TACTICAL SURVIVAL TRAINING

SCATH BUSHCRAFT's (pronounced skaw) program centers around building one's wilderness core: a distillation of techniques ranging from how to build a natural shelter that will keep you warm in sub-freezing temperatures, to making fire by "rubbing sticks together", to moving invisibly in the forest and feeding as a modern day hunter/gatherer. This is a course made up of hybrid skills that's part primitive and part modern. Classes consist of part lecture/part hands-on field work that will enable the practitioner to enter the natural world in a new and dynamic way.

These skills belong to our ancestors. They are a blueprint of fundamentals for expanding awareness and self-reliance - the bare essentials for surviving in the wild - adding depth to experience - beginning with utilizing the proper mindset to shed fears, and work with immediate priorities, such as insulation and hydration, along with tracking, camouflaging, and other drills that the student can use on a daily basis to increase his or her encyclopedic knowledge of bushcraft.

This course may not be for everyone; as it is not for wilderness first-aid, nor is it a militia-based training; but rather, this course focuses on weaving awareness back into our daily lives, blending seamlessly with our natural environments, and reading our surroundings like an open book, thus walking in harmony with Nature. By connecting with indigenous wisdom and gaining empowerment through intentional living, the student will learn directly from practicing field-expedient skills that include knowing how to survive without a ton of modern equipment, as well as, methods for preventing oneself from becoming lost, or falling prey to a large predator. There will also be talk on how to build a personalized bushcraft kit.

This is about you, the student. And, your progress - pushing yourself beyond your personal edge - as a practitioner and, ultimately teacher of these ancient skills!!

So if you're interested in taking your knowledge of wilderness to the next level, contact me for a class...
